Things to consider with rear mounted winch is power drop as ur further away from ur batteries also more wear on ur rope, also do u plan on running through a tube or loops whats ur reason for wanting a rear mounted winch? As i have one in my comp truck but its pto powered and the fuel tank and back ...

Use a battery drill on a very low torque setting and go round and round all the bolts and slowly pull the rings together till they are fully clamped, you may and to increase the torque setting a bit, but one bolt wont pull the rings together by themselves you'll strip the thread, not to sure what ...

Wiring is pretty much all plugs all the wiring you need for the transfer box is connected into the trucks loom it has got the 4wd light and the reversing lights on it the reversing sender is on top of the gearbox usually you can just plug into it, the autos wiring loom unplugs up by the battery note ...

4x4 light works of the wiring loom that goes down to the transfer box its built into the trucks loom the plugs you showed are the ones for the auto box I found that there was three plugs on the autos transfer box and only two on the manuals transfer box maybe try and see if you can change the plugs ...

The only difference I can find on the id tags apart from colour code and the vin and engine numbers is that my turbo chassis number starts with WRGY60 (import) and non turbo is KRY60 (nz new) my other td42 is WRY60 (import), the engine number on the diesels are td42 4169cc whether it's turboed or ...

We started about 7am and were out before 3 were taking it easy as we were only on 33s managed to rip 2 tyre valves out one each and the other trucks side window had a stick punch through it had to stop and patch up and build a down ramp about halfway through into a big hole and winch out the other ...

Ive also got one in a wrecked truck theres not much left but it has a 3seater in it not to sure if all the seat belts are there haven't had a proper look yet let me know if your interested located in South Canterbury.

Yes backlash will have to be set best way to get it right is mark each side adjusters against the carrier with different marking for each side and count each side how many times you have to turn to undo for both sides and reverse to put back together

Cant say for the auto as the one i had was a factory turbo but my lwb manual does around 14l per 100km

Hi do you by chance hav the window wiper solenoid/relay it sits in the box by the 24v battery also the motor and gear drive for the l/h rear window and also the switch cheers Andy

I need a turbo flywheel for the motor im putting in to my swb patrol as the safari i took it out of was auto also a td42 flex plate for when i put my old motor into the donor truck. Cheers Andy.

Yup to me it looks like the factory turbo oil drain as i just pulled a factory turbo motor out of my safari last monday as far as I'm aware the heads are the same as n/a but not 100% could get a pic if you wished but wont be till wednesday

Im running bfg mud terrain km2's and would neva go back my car tyres are louder on the road they handle very well on gravel they out climb other tyres Ive owned they have been on scree slopes and rocks and not one puncture seams I didnt need to buy 5 just my two cents.

If you have auto hubs you cannot always hear them go in so I'm thinking that when putting your Terrano in 4wd it is in fact in 4wd. Otherwise it would carry on spinning as before and also does it actually have an lsd (usually has a lsd sticker or stamp) as usually they wont let one wheel spin for a ...

Some one like me I have standard 1993 swb coils and Monroe heavy duty shocks took them off the truck at 270000km sat level with no weight in the back of the truck but sank down with a couple of hundred kgs in the back haven't been on for a year shocks are in good condition but I'm down in South ...

I had the tank out and drained tipped 10 liters in it and drove 2km to the fuel station and she still took 90 liters from my understanding there is a 65,75,85 and a 96L tank but But I still don't know why mine took 4L more.

You should be able to get a starter motor from a td42 diesel Patrol as mine is nz new and the whole truck is 12volt.
