WTB: D21 auto hub - Navara / Terrano
Bought another Navara yesterday, tried out 4x4 down at the river today, no good! Luckily, I was only reversing on grass when I noticed, instead of having mud up to the windows and only the back wheels lit up!! Got home, put it on axle stands, put it in gear, 4x4, and let the clutch out. YAY, front ...

Re: Advice on 1st dog
Thanks for all of your replies! I have read about the vizslas, and they sound great, but so is the price tag! So by the sounds of it, spending the cash now, on a proven breed with hunting traits is the only way to REALLY do it. I havent got anywhere near that to spend on a dog yet, so will have to ...

Advice on 1st dog
So, Mrs has been pestering me to get a dog, for the kids mainly. Iv never had any pets growing up, but do really like dogs, particularly Labs. Im a novice hunter in my early 20's, and my old man has a few hundred acres in the hills just out of Wanganui. Love going out and shooting goats, and the odd ...

Re: Terrano / Navara front diff Q
Sweet, thanks for that Simon, will take it to bits later today. Hopefully just a seal around the bolt or something, rather than a cracked diff housing.. Though a whole front diff aint too expensive. Speaking of, if I were to buy a front diff from a Terrano and it happened to be a different ratio to ...

Terrano / Navara front diff Q
So a few weeks back I snapped about an inch off the end of the drivers side CV. At the same time, the front diff started leaking from around the passenger side shaft output. I cant narrow down exactly where the leak is coming from. Annoying. My truck has a lot of oil coming from around the bolt with ...

Tough bikkies in my opinion. You buy a CUSTOM vehicle, you have to expect the odd hiccup. Heck, I mostly buy stock vehicles and still have hiccups. Who could have seen the fuel pump relay giving out? Im sure he was given AMPLE opportunity to have the vehicle checked by whoever he wanted. I know if I ...

Sweet, cheers Simon. Lamans terms are great
Theres a couple on trademe, might get one of those and then look at repairing this one later, seeing as it looks to be multiple faults anyways.
Aint nothing like having a spare

Re: Alternator diode faulty - Repair or replace alternator? TD27
The swage on the pressure hose weep sometimes, but if it is coming from behind then it could be the seal and/or O rings on the wear plate, which may indicate the bearing is near shagged. , Which bearing could be near shagged? The one the alternator shaft spins on? And which pressure hose to check ...

Happy to have a crack at fixing it if its going to work out cheaper..
While on the topic of my alternator, theres a small oil leakcoming from around the back of the vacuum pump somewhere, cant find exactly where. Any common places this happens on these trucks?

Hi I'm new to 4wd and could really do with some advice. just buy some maxitrac 2 inch lift springs (for the rear) and wind up your current torsion bars, the aftermarket ones are hard and horrible. Your brake lines should be fine but you may need to bend/drop your proportion valve to suit. If your ...
