No, The v6 petrol one is quite a bit shorter in profile as in distance out from water pump.

I'v got a complete fuel pump and map sensor and computer and engine bay wiring loom out of a manual KZN185 Surf if anyone needs any of those bits. $200 for the pump and $100 each for the map sensor and computer. I brought a complete engine for a repower and didn't use these bits. I'm in Napier. PM me.

A good peice of preventitive maintanence on these engines is to drop the pants off them and replace the bigend bearings which is a quick and relatively cheap job especially if running more fuel and boost... We just cut off the old mounts and moved them back, but you dont have to be to fussy with cutting them off tidy cos the mounts on the 1KZ are alot wider and you will end up with the base plate nearly out to the chassis if you know what i mean...
