i have the same problem on my escudo... it seems to come on after about 1 hour of open road and by turning key off then back on, it stays off...

i checked the oil and water levels and they were fine... i don't think mine has a converter either...

i have yet to pull mine apart... will do later this week but might have to be saturday. i haven't actually got to the switch yet but there is no power going to the starter motor so most likely is the faulty switch. wana get it fixed asap so my truck is driveable!

so i got my lifted rear springs in yesterday. am waiting on two more u bolts 2 be ordered in though so isn't fullly driveable yet... raised in about 3-4 inches due to old ones having sagged just chargin digi camera at the mo so will take some photos and upload them later

fitted maxitrac lifted springs in my yn60 surf. raised it about 3-4 inches as old ones were sagged gay repco only had 2 u bolts so had to order 2 more in for pick up tuesday. need longer shocks also. managed to drive home from mates workshop with 1 u bolt in each side and the shocks on each side ...

i find the same problem with my 3y... get a reasonable incline and the motor struggles. pain in the arse. if you rev it up early it is easier and copes a weeee bit better but still struggles. have stalled it a few times doing that but now just put the clutch in and brake and give it another go ...

that is a good reason to keep it. time away from the mrs is valuable and 4wdin is one of the best options if i do sell i would purchase another 4wd middle of next year so would just be temporary without a 4wd... when it comes down to it i don't wana sell but might have to... i won't give it away ...
