Re: Will a LJ78 Factory rear locker fit a KZJ95 Prado
Depends... If you mean will it fit to a KZJ95 which had a std diff.. then no, as the locker diffs are a different shape in the mating flange to accommodate the actuator fork. It would need to be modified...(I have done a non locker housing in a KZJ78 but I put in an e locker from another KZJ78) If ...

My truck averages 14 l per 100 on a trip pushing it along on 32" Mud tyres, if you drive at 90kph the economy improves dramatically. Stop start driving is another story though
I only use 95 octane or 98 when I can get it

Hi there The Nevis road is closed this time of year. We tried to get into Macetown a few weeks ago but the was a big slip that had blocked the track, I doubt that the slip has been cleared at this time of year. We are a little bit limited at this time of year due to tacks being closed over the ...

[quote="NJV6"]Nice one. Did your axle come out easy enough? Haven't got a slide hammer. Hi I couldn't find the slide hammer at work, I just levered on the flange and smacked it several times with a rather large hammer from behind and the bearing fell apart and the axle came out. A poor or dirty earth wire contact can cause your dash lights to stay on dim. Check all the earth points, But you output voltage on your alt is on the low side, so alt could be on its way out

Re: considering a pajero
They are pretty good trucks if serviced regularly, The drive flanges have a habit of popping out of the rear diff on the pre 2005 models, this can be fixed by upgrading the flanges that have a larger cir clip on them. Also the intake manifold should be removed and cleaned out on a regular basis

Re: Wheel bearings
I took my free wheeling hubs off and went back to drive flanges, no more problem with water in bearings, water was getting in through the back of the hub on the CV seal, the free wheel hubs didn't hold the CVs in tight enough and had problems with the cir clips, good riddance to the free wheeling ...

Raised Rear Springs NH SWB
What raised rear springs are guys running in their trucks, I am after a decent lift that still rides ok. I have King KCRR-33 in my truck for the last 2.5 years and they have sagged to about standard height. I am after at least 30mm lift as I plan to go to 285/75R 16 tyres
