Yea, it's not really ideal for me in Auckland. 99% of the time its being used on the road and I'd rather be driving a nice car. If I lived back in Queenstown however a trucked worked nicely down those ways.

Re: Lifting a Jeep Wrangler

Well I decided I'm gunna pull that body lift out. Caused far too many troubles. Real stiff shifting between 4wd and low, sometimes pops outa 4wd or rides really rough, it clanks etc etc... Seems to be too much strain on the transfer case linkage even with the adapter, everything's all stretched ...

Re: Lifting a Jeep Wrangler

Well I got rid of the squeaks. Rear muffler, transfer case linkage was sitting up against the original mount, so got the holes bored a bit so it would sit lower and the glove box squeaked also lol. Now the knocking sound has changed slightly, and I'm pretty sure its the transfer case linkage ...

Re: Lifting a Jeep Wrangler

Well I got the new bushes fitted but the truck is still making a terrible knocking sound and a squeek when it goes over bumps or it jolts. I have a feeling it could be something to do with the transfer case linkage but I'm not completely sure. My mechanic couldn't seem to figure it out but I'm ...

Re: Lifting a Jeep Wrangler

OK so the Wooder's ones are good if I'm just wanting bushes for now?

How would I get in contact with Greg, I would probably rather buy from NZ rather than have to order overseas if I can help it. What type did he have?

Re: Lifting a Jeep Wrangler

I see, but wouldn't a cheap replacement of the bushes for now to get rid of the horrid thumps be a good idea? Will those ones from Wooder's not last long?

Do you have prothane ones I could buy off ya?

Justjeep has no listings, so I can't contact them at the moment.

Re: Lifting a Jeep Wrangler

I see, it's the lower front left control arm. Aftermarket control arms such as:

http://www.wooders.com.au/index.php?mai ... cts_id=465

WOW I just found a replacement busher for $36 bucks!

http://www.wooders.com.au/index.php?mai ... cts_id=461

Is it really worth going all out or is there other mods that would be better to do before control arms?

Re: Lifting a Jeep Wrangler

hmm I have had a bit of a look around and maybe be able to source a set through a mates uncle who owns a car parts business and sells almost everything! But I would be keen to join a bulk order if others here are into that. Well at the end of the first day with the lift the truck started making a ...

Re: Lifting a Jeep Wrangler

Well got it all sussed, I had to adjust one of the links, not sure what it's called but you can adjust the leaver so that all options work. I loosened the bolt and slide it along the leaver a bit meaning you could slide the inside handle right back to get it into 4WD low and when in 2WD the leaver ...

Re: Lifting a Jeep Wrangler

Hey I'm having a bit of a struggle finding where to change the T-Case Shift Linkage. I have pulled away the carpet around the drivers floor side and can't find the 4 bolts they talk off. Anyone got a diagram or photos which could assist me to find what I need to take off and replace.

Thanks heaps.

Re: Lifting a Jeep Wrangler

I managed to stretch it to where it should be and it's not too bad now, usable. So everything done now except the T-Case Shift Linkage, I don't know really what to do for that one yet, I'll see how it goes and maybe do it when I do the suspension lift.
