Had the same issue years ago with an old Daihatsu and it turned out to be the steering damper (shocky) that was shot. Once i changed this all was good. I would like to grease everthing I can as it hasnt been done since Ive had the truck..
I have done all the drive shafts and so on but cant find any more grease nipples around the ball joints and so on....

Greaseing ball joints of 80 series?
Probably really simple but want to make sure I have the right idea...
Do I undo the bolt on top of the ball joint and fill from there till full or am heading in the wrong direction?

Hey thanks for the referal, they dont have them in stock but only a few weeks away and only $17.80+gst compared to giltraps $65+gst....

80 series Transfer caes leak....
Can anyone help me with where I could get a seal for the rear shaft that comes out the back of the trasfer case.... I have tried Giltraps but they are 3 weeks and $65 ex Japan.
I am in auckland so somewhere local would help.....

I have an 80 series and have just done this to the front diff, but have found that the rear drive shaft is leaking from the transfer case... Is this as easy to fix?

Yea I did this coarse too a few months ago and really enjoyed it....
Definetly worth while as a confidence boost if you havent done 4wding before or its been a while since you been out on the tracks.....
