Re: Carburetor Help please!
Hi. Not sure of your setup, but I run a carby Toyota 4k engine in a Suzuki SJ410, and had similar issues. They are set up with the float chamber of the carby at the front, and I had trouble with it overfuelling on uphill climbs as the fuel in the float chamber would slosh out through the pipes that ...

Re: Rattling Gearbox?
Hi, this may or may not be of assistance, but it doesn't sound like release bearing. A lot of Landcruiser gearboxes always seem to have a rattling noise to some extent when idling or when you coast along with no load on the drivetrain. I think they call it rollover noise but it sounds like ...

Re: Sj413 parts
Hi. I have two side mirrors off a SJ410, and also an internal rear view mirror. Not after much - really just cost of packaging and freight. 410 ones should fit as they have the same doors as 413 (maybe someone can confirm though). Let me know anyway. Cheers.

Re: Southalnd Rallies etc?
Hi. Are you looking to compete or spectate? Rallies are organized by Southland Land Rover Owners Club for Curio Bay, Southern Trail Blazers 4WD club for Landslip, and Tony Richardson/Mataura Scouts for their rally. Curio Bay one is between Waikawa and Curio Bay, Landslip is on the hill above Pukerau ...

This will be the site for the Timaru section of the Mainland winch challenge and a mudplug the next day m Hey Still Unbroken, do you have any more info on the mudplug? Is it a club event or will it be open to outside entries? Rules, classes etc. Thanks.

Noticed quite a tidy one in Temuka Auto Court a week or two ago. Price was just under $30k from memory. Had winch and tonneau cover. Their number is 03 615 8786.

Re: PTO transfercase drive gear LJ78/KZJ78
Hi micahb. I have a spacer and pto gear that I removed from a HZJ73 (1993 mid wheel base with 1HZ motor, manual gearbox, usual split transfer case) that I don't need. A1 condition - never had pto winch etc. I removed them when I replaced the transfer case input gear with one of the aftermarket long ...

Re: HZJ73 Crusier info
Hi. Its gear driven. If you don't have a pto winch you might be able to remove that side cover and have a look at the transfer case input shaft/gear side of things. You might be able to see if transfer case input (=gearbox output) is spinning when the auto turns, which might narrow down if its the ...

Re: Best clutch for Landcruiser 80
I have a HZJ73 (mid wheel base 1hz engine h55f gearbox) and changed std factory clutch with Clutch Industries 4-terrain heavy duty button type clutch. Grips perfectly and good pedal feel but it obviously isnt as well damped as the factory clutch as now get quite noisy gear chatter (rollover noise ...

Re: Best oil for Gearbox VX Landcruiser 96
I changed to the Redline Lightweight Shockproof oil a while ago in a HZJ73 Landcruiser with H55F gearbox. Absolutely brilliant - a lot quieter, smooth shifting when cold, truck just seemed smoother also, but thats probably my imagination! Only downside is cost - BNT charge around $33 for a 1 quart ...

Re: what psi should i run in my buckshots ?
If the vehicle still has the placard on the door sill somewhere thats a good place to start. You can experiment and vary a bit from there to get the compromise between ride and handling that seems to suit best. Our landcruiser sticker says about 28psi unladen and up to about 40psi I think when fully ...

We assisted when they picked this vehicle up. Ute conversion was done prior to their purchasing it. Certainly no evidence of vehicle being rolled. Gearbox seized as it ran out of oil when being a-framed during delivery. Ring them for more info. Usually best to say nothing Callum007 when you don't ...

Not sure if its appropriate to list a ph number here, but if you search whitepages for T + F Richardson in Mataura you will get phone number. It is his son selling the vehicle. I'm sure he would be happy to answer questions - very genuine and honest people.
