Re: gauge pod
I have mine mounted in the dash. I bought the egt sensors off the guy who supplyes the guages, they are about $60 each. You can either use VDO sensors or calibrate your factory sensors. I used a VDO oil temp sensor and for the boost i used a bosch 3 bar map sensor to read the manifold pressure. If ...

Check out this link. m Click on the E3 under engines in the left hand collum. I have one of these in my twin turbo safari. It worked out cheaper than a good set of guages and is compact. I run two EGT sensors, oil temp, boost pressure. You can also hook up a total of 4 EGT'S so i am planning to put ...

Re: whats the "ideal" turbo for the safari.
Cheers guys, Just to answer your questions: Gary-I would love to build a custom intake manifold to see what power gains would be available. I know some of the results Mike at Sinco has got on petrol engines are really good with his custom intakes. Unfortunatly i had to draw the line somewhere with ...

Re: whats the "ideal" turbo for the safari.
Cheers monstr,I had decided it would be better for the long term life of the turbos to water cool them ,espcially as they are ball bearing turbos they only get a minimal amount of oil to the turbo to lube and cool the bearing.
Better to be safe than sorry.
Cheers

Re: whats the "ideal" turbo for the safari.
I have a question for all the Td 42 guru's out there. I was just wondering where the best place is to tee into to get the water to cool a water cooled turbo on the Td 42. I can remember reading something a while ago that it is important to get the right places so you get the good water flow ...
