as in getting the axle out of the cv? no no, the steering idler is a bracket on the passenger side chassis rail that links onto the steering rack, the power box is on the drivers side and this steering idler is on passenger side... I tired a small amount of heat when attempting to crack the arm off ...

i did mine recently, it was a pain to get off, but i got it with a ball joint separator m and a fairly large hammer yeah sorry, thats actually what I meant by CV cracker... Just named it wrong hahaha, used that and a rather large hammer, still with no dam luck!!! was hitting at it for a good ...

Tried that... spent alot of time hitting it, starting with a small hammer, and ending up with a rather large hammer, still with no luck :(

Hey guys, I tried replacing my steering Idler on my Isuzu MU today, got all the nuts and bolts out of it, but I couldnt for the life of me budge it off the rod the links it to the steering rod... tried a puller and a CV cracker, neither of which budged it, are there any tricks to these? or will I ...

Got a leak in the back of my MU replaced one rubber, but the large rear door rubber(full loop one that seals glass aswell) is torn in a couple places, does anyone have a spare one lying around they want to sell off? Just to clear it up to everyone, you CANNOT remove your airbags for a road going vehicle with just an LVV certification, you would need a minimum 6point roll cage and motorsport licence
I looked into this for my race car a while ago... same will apply for any form of motorvehicle

OK, I been trying to get some good info on the thompsons track, this seems like a semi-appropriate place to ask further.... I cuurently have a daily driven isuzu MU, have the tow ropes but not whinch(yet) and only on AT tyres, would this track be a bit out of my depth as yet? I havn't even managed ...

Done it ... and had the injector pump off since ... Not too difficult ... And Isuzu make it easy ... there is a postion forn licking bolts in the pump and cam pullys that makes timing it right easy ... Hi There, Im a complete newbie to this site and 4x4 in general... just got myself an isuzu MU 2.8 TD
Not planning on getting carried away with offroading, just some fun treaks on occasion as Im into track racing mainly, but came on here for some info and trying to find some parts :P
