I had mine powder coated, cost less than spray cans I reckon. Did the same with front bars and sliders and it was surprisingly durable. From memory cost me $200 for full internal cage, front and rear bars and sliders.

Re: tell me bout the D22
I just went through this recently and after reading all about the zd30 problems all over the net bought a d22 with a qd32. Mine is one that nissan turboed from new, neat little set up and 2.5" exhaust goes really well. The navaras with the zd30 are considerably better than the early patrols and ...

Re: Drilling holes in exhaust manifold
Hi guys, Now I remember reading about this a while back but I can't for the life of me find it now. I read a few people had had some success with drilling a hole in their exhaust manifold (for an EGT probe) with the manifold in-situ and I think just having the engine running to push any excess ...

Re: 4X4-2X4 kits for 80 Series?
I did the budget way first (just free wheeling hubs) and all it did really was make the steering feel lighter. Something else that happened was my axles and cvs didn't like turning unloaded because my bronze cv bushes were worn so it vibrated like hell at speed. The marks kit is the way to go. I got ...

Hi there, I upgraded my ht18 standard patrol turbo earlier this year. We use aftermarket adjustable glow timers at work that can do pulsed after glow. They have a temp sensor also to reduce glow when hot. If you we're to try and use a 2.4 factory glow timer the time might not suit the 1kz plugs The 2lt unit I have has an adjustable glow and afterglow period, 0-15 ...

Best thing you can do if your new to working on your vehicles is find a friendly mechanic who doesn't mind you being there with them as they do your wof. They can show you exactly what's wrong, were it is and give advice on repair. Makes life easy. I always watch my wofs.

Get a big piece of old carpet or rubber or ply for oil change time. Doesnt matter how hard you try you will always drip some. Use a deflector as others have said also to guide oil down from filters if really keen.
