Re: CRC Aeroclean Degreaser
I avoid using Aerosol Dereaser's
Brake Parts Cleaner does seem to work very well.
In the long run it works out better to get 20L of Tergo Industries Enviro De greaser.
With the added bonus that it can be filtered and reused.
non toxic blah blah, it also works better.

Re: RX7 Single Pot Brakes on Trials Truck Rear Discs
whats the difference in Brake PAD surface area of the Big single Pots VS 4 pots like ? I just fitted some pads to the old mans lux and was quite impressed with the pad area on the hilux 4pot. If the supply pressure is the same then surely you want to go with the calipers that have more pad touching ...

Re: Project Mud Catcher ( Front Mount Intercooler LN130 )
From a 10 days driving ( road miles ) it seems to do about another 20-30 km per 1/4 tank which once you stack that all up is quite a nice increase. I am still yet to do a proper mileage test on a full tank of gas. No inter cooler got me a consistent 430 km per tank. i can notice a bit of extra power ...

Re: Project Mud Catcher ( Front Mount Intercooler LN130 )
I'ts more for on road gains than for 4wd
but it should give a nice bit of extra puff up hills and for motorway driving ( daily vechicle )
if i can find some low profile fans i might fit them for more gains offroad

Project Mud Catcher ( Front Mount Intercooler LN130 )
Front Mount Intercooler on my Surf After having a search around on the internet I was not happy with the various Inter cooler Setups people have made for LN 130 Surfs. The top mount inter coolers didn't seem big enough and other front mount setups had very long ugly piping. I decided i could do a ...

that's not a bad idea about reinforcing the mounts, i was just worried about the thin sheet and wanted to get some protection there ASAP.
might see how it goes and change if necessary.

Re: Front Skid Plate on IFS Surf/Hilux
With a lack of information i decided to get right into it anyway I found myself a bit of 3.5mm Steel should be bloody strong. First i drilled the old spot welds to remove the frame from the old skid plate, this frame I will re use as its nice thick pressed steel and once welded to the new piece of 3 ...

Front Skid Plate on IFS Surf/Hilux
Hi guys I am looking for ideas to build a front skid plate for my LN160 Surf. My truck unlike many others has intact Air Con and i would like to keep it that way as it gets used on the road every day. Sus lift is on the go but with 30" rubber front clearances is not fantastic. I have a supply of 3 ...
