Need a rear diff for the Prado. 4.88 4 spider LSD.

Re: LJ78 Air Locker Stuck
Oakey doke, took the diff apart, seems that the plastic engagement piston was chipped and wouldn't come out quite as far as it should be when the lockers disengaged. So have a new piston now, hopefully all back together tonight.

Re: LJ78 Air Locker Stuck
if there is no air pressue thru the line it should dis-engage..... have you tried pulling the air-line at the solenoid and jacking the back up and turning one wheel? maybe the clutch gear is jammed? Yup, tried disconnecting the line at both ends, disconnected breather. Still stuck. Tried turning ...

The locker on the prado is stuck in. Have checked all the lines, sweet as, no kinks etc. Anyone know any quick tricks to get it out?
REALLY need the truck for this weekend. Failing this, will try to rip the diff head out tonight and have a look.
Cheers

Re: 1KZ Mechanical Fuel Pump
I got it done to my truck a wee while ago, id never look back now, from what i beleive its the 2.4 (2l) pump with bits and pieces from the 2.8 and 3.0. Fuel economy was bad for a start, but then wound up the boost, after that the fuel economy was a hell of a lot better and the truck had more power ...

Re: 1KZ-TE. New Water Temp Gauge.
Hmm interesting. That's the one which I was saying is at the front (and where it's plumed up to at the moment) but I'm still getting 20+ psi. It's a bit hard to see the actuator but as far as I can tell it looks standard. Either way 20 or more pounds seems a shit load of boost, if it was boosting ...

Re: 1KZ-TE. New Water Temp Gauge.
Ive got my temp gauge hooked into an adapter which is fitted into the upper radiator hose (outlet of engine) Boost gauge is T'd off the ECU boost sensor off the manifold. Mine only boosts 12 PSI. Cheers for that, I'll go and retrieve one tomorrow. Problem solved. However... Have had a bit of a ...

1KZ-TE. New Water Temp Gauge.
After a search has revealed nothing... I'm just in the process of hooking up all my after market gauges to replace the shite Toyota ones and was wondering if anyone's put a mechanical temp gauge in? Where did you put the probe? There's a dimple on the casting which joins the radiator hose to the ...

I've got the biggest one that runs on AA's. Awesome light spotted a couple deer with it, find that they don't seem to panic in the white LED light as they do in the yellow. Got a small one that clips to the top of the .22 for shooting rabbits. Does the trick.
