Re: HELP - explaining correct positioning for Anti-tramp bar
Pan hard rod. As you have suspension lift/raised the vehicle it pulls the diff over to passengers side. so the top arm sits closer to the tank. when you drop a wheel (extend the suspension) the arm moves closer again to the tank and rubs. A longer pan hard rod that allows the diff to re centre ...

on a coil vehicle, the control arms should be up to task in both strength and placement etc.. the vertical separation between the upper and lower links is the key to providing the anti wrap you've mentioned.. leafs will bend if flexy and under heavy acceleration, hence an anti wrap / traction bar ...

Re: lj78 prado with hilux stub axles.
the felt seals are bigger on the Prado, but if yours are still ok, then the hilux kit will be fine. I have fitted a hilux felt seal to the prado axle before, so it can be done in a pinch if needed. Re: lj78 prado with hilux stub axles.
you can buy a kit for the lj, from bush ranger I think. Its way more than the hilux kit, which sucks cause its only the stuff to do with the knuckle that is different. I believe that all axle seals, bearings etc are the same. Also with regard to your ifs hubs, why not just use a standard solid axle ...

Was going to get a complete seal and bearing kit from bnt but think the hilux stub axles may be bigger in circumference and the bearings may have to be used instead of prado ones ...

I got the Aisin hubs off trademe, paid $130 from memory, they came out on solid axle hilux, and cruisers, they were also on some IFS surfs etc but they look the same but have less splines so can't be used. The spacer i got from Jafa @ m I'm thinking you're not quite uderstanding the spacer issue ...

Re: Hosehustler Replacement
Did you have the 80 series springs in rear before setting up ride height of front axle or were the factory rear springs still in there?
Got myself a prado front end to go into my ln131 surf hopfully it works out as well as it did for you.
