Re: Koni 82 Shocks in NZ
Why does it have to be koni You should try efs or tough dog to be honest there probably better... I have been doing a lot of reading on the subject over the last few weeks and I have yet to see any comment on any forum from anyone who has had Koni's and wanted to change them. It's not that EFS ...

They do but the quote I got from them seems pretty expensive. I was hoping to get a few more quotes.
Thanks.

Hi All,
I am having trouble finding a good price or any price for that matter on a set of Koni 82's for the 80 series. Any recommendations?
Cheers,
Hamish

Re: What model 70?
Problem I have with Prado's is the 2.4lt diesel makes them gutless and the 3lt seems to be very prone to cracking. I would be constantly worried about pushing it. Did some work on a high country station a couple of years ago, we were using a 4.2 LC ute, coil front, and it idled up riverbeds and ...

What model 70?
I don't know much about cruisers but I am interest in getting one. I live in Christchurch, lately I have seen a white, 70 series cruiser, long wheel base. Nothing too unusual only it has coil springs in the front. It's like a 4 door troopy. Any ideas on what model it is? I can't find pictures or ...

Wanted to buy, flat deck suzuki 413
I am looking for a straight, rust free (or close to it) 413 flatdeck in good condition with reg. Would pay up to 4k for the right truck.
Would prefer south island.
PM me if you know of or own one that you are interested in selling.

http://www.auszookers.com/index.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=402 That’s pretty much exactly what I would like to build. So the Jimny spring/shock mounts will fix most of the front suspension issues? If the axles/cv's are supposedly weaker then would swapping in a set of leaf samurai diff/axle a ...

SJ80 Questions
Hi Guys I sold my Suzuki 1987 SJ413 a while back but am missing it now and would like to get a new one. I always liked the idea of getting a coil sprung SJ80 samurai and keeping it quite standard for daily driving. I was thinking about doing some basic mods like 30-40mm spring lift, 30” muddies, ...

Intercooler size for a Toyota N1-t diesel
Hey guys, I have a Suzuki sj413 and a Toyota N1-t (1453cc turbo) diesel engine ready to put in it. I would like to install a top mounted intercooler to up the HP and keep the little engine and turbo nice and cool but I am unsure of what to look for in an intercooler. Does anyone here have any ...

Re: Wanted: Samurai diff-axel asemblys.
I have a set of 413 diffs under the truck at the mo, but with a diesel engine build coming up real soon the 3.7 diffs are going to be handy keeping the RPM down a bit. That and the few extra inches of width will come in handy.

Wanted: Samurai diff-axel asemblys.
Hi all,
I am looking for a pair of samurai diff-axel (hub to hub) assemblies. Prefer leaf sprung.
Anyone got any for sale? Nelson to Dunedin including the West Coast ok for pickup or I can get them picked up in Auckland-Hamilton or Wellington.
Thanks,
Hamish.

Pretty much as you have said but IFS surf rear diffs are same size diff head but 3 inchs wider. You can get a kit to make solid front match. Coil prado are alo same diff head but rear is offest like the suzuki plus they are already coiled So are hilux or surf diffs not offset? I did not think you ...

Decreasing 5th gear in a sj413 gearbox
Just brought a 1.5 diesel starlet, the future engine for my 87 413/Jimny1300. I was just doing some gear calculating, planning to go 33" tires (32 x 9.5 simex’s) and I will run them on 3.909 diffs and 4.15 transfer gears. Everything looks good gear and speed wise up until we hit top speed, because o ...

The reason I go alone is because I hunt alone so 4x4ing alone is what happens, that ant going to change. But because I off road alone means I don’t take major risks ie I walk river crossings before crossing, I get out and checking mud and ruts before bowling on in but the idea is to become self r ...

Its a 87 jimny, just an imported SJ413. Why would the transfer case bushing have anything to do with the gearbox and/or gear leaver? The transfer box is sweet, changing fine.
