Re: quick lift
Little off topic, but the comment above about lockers being to expensive isn't entirely true. I put a Aussie Lokka in the front of my TJ and was only $300 delivered to my door plus some diff oil and was easy enough to install. Would have to be the best mod I've done and made the biggest difference ...

After help/second opinion on LN65 Hilux
Not sure if this is the right section, but I've been slowly fixing up an LN65 Hilux over the past 18months. So far have put in a reco'd 2LT (well was told reco'd) and a new custom CT20 turbo. Also ditched the G52 box for a W56 and had all the rust cut out of the cab and patched. I have a limited ...

Got a reasonable price from Al's Mufflers and they're just down the road, so will give them a go.

Re: Thompsons Track for a shiny?
I have been up before on quads a couple years ago. I just have 31" MT's so not a lot of clearance. I realise it would be best with another truck but unfortunately don't know anyone else that would be interested and I figure there will be plenty of others around this long w/e. I'm in Tauranga. Cheers ...

Thompsons Track for a shiny?
Hi all, I am considering taking my standard 97 SWB Prado manual with MT's up the Te Aroha side of Thompsons Track this weekend for a look and was just wondering if anyone had been up there recently and give any advice on conditions. I have been told by a few guys at work the Te Aroha side is fairly ...

2LT injectors
Pulled out a injector from my 2LT that was leaking and checked the code stamped on it , 2630, and from what I can find these only came out in the 2L not the 2LT. Does anyone know if these injectors are suitable for the 2LT?

Definatly missing the insulator and I've found the part number for it so can hopefully get one off the local toyota outfit. Can hopefully get the clunker running after that.

Re: Glow plug problems
Ok, I'm pretty sure I don't have an insulator, I'm guessing it's some sort of washer with a sleeve that insulates the bolt as well? Would repco have them? Sorry just never worked on these before.

Re: Glow plug problems
just checked all the glow plugs and they're all good, but noticed the ones in the new motor are 6v and the ones from the original motor are 7v. Don't think this would make much difference though. Was also wondering, the power cable to the glow plugs bolt on top of the current sensor to the block ...

Sorry,
It's a LN65 Hilux that was originally a 2L non turbo and I have now put a 2LT turbo in and I'm in Tauranga.

Glow plug problems
Having problems getting my plow plugs going on a 2LT, tested the relays and they're all good so assumed the timer was faulty. I wired a push switch in basically taking the ignition power leading into the glow plug timer and switching it to the the 2 wires leading back off to the relays. Now when I ...

First time workin on a Diesel - 2LT no fuel
Hey guys, Never worked on a diesel before and have just put a 2LT into a LN65 that was orginally non turbo. Can't seem to get any fuel to the motor, was sitting round for few months but have checked the lines and they are clear and has a full tank of gas. put in a new filter but when i pump the ...

LN65 accelerator cable
Hey guys,
I've just dropped a 2LT into my LN65 that originally had a 2L. Just trying to figure out where the accelerator cable mounts as can't find anywhere obvious that works. Is the cable from the 2L the same as the 2LT?
Cheers

Re: Just bought a LN65
Couple pics of the new project. After a few beers with some mates trying to figure out which motor to go for, now thinking the 1UZ is more for me. Just wondering will the G52 box handle a standard 1UZ or are there better options? http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx182/xWideLoadx/Hilux001sml.jpg ...

Re: Just bought a LN65
Well had a think and gonna keep it as a trailer sailor. Still liking the idea of a 7M, but also looking at the commy V6 option. Just wondering, the adapters, are they a straight bolt up or is there a lil more too them and what do they cost? Got a mate with a spare 4 bolt mains 350 chev, but that ...

Re: Just bought a LN65
Not the end of the world if it's a tower, got the work wagon with free gas ;P and could always pick up another registered wagon later to swap over. Pretty keen to go with a M series motor just for the ease of install, but are there any other reasonably cheap conversions? Also whats a good starting ...

Just bought a LN65
Hi Guys, Will be picking up a LN65 Hilux double cab with 2.4 diesel minus tray, with a cracked head on Thursday. New to 4WD and just looking for a bit of advice. Just looking to build something to have a bit of fun in at the moment and see if 4WD'ing is for me. Have had a bit of a read through the ...
