one of the steering arms comes loose on the xj's, mine did it and needed a tighten, its actually hard to and best got at on a hoist.

Also the control arm bushes when shot cause the steering/diff to knock, once replaced tho no probs since.

im over in Tauranga and i ended up biting the bullet and getting the jeep dealer to pop in the new one for a wof, they had a special cast alloy looking press the used to get the old ones out and new ones in.

Installed new lower control arm bushes (mission), new steering stabiliser, 2 new tie rod type components and gave it all a grease. Still have the front shocks and upper control arm bushes to do which im not looking forward to before i do the rear end. I have all the parts just need the time, i may ...
