My gearbox went today on my old hilux. Anyone got a good one kicking around.

Re: 60 series cruiser for sale
Mileage is 250000km Its Diesel (12ht engine) I had to sort out a front break imbalance and a leaky hub seal for the WOF. So rebuilt the calipers, new pads and hub seal. Sorted. Don't think there was anything about down for next WOF. It's started runs a little cool if anything, may need a new ...

Re: re cert for WOF
) The suspension height is however listed - measured from the centre of the hub to the bottom edge of the guard. Tyre height is included in that and an allowance of a difference of +/- 5% that's odd as i fitted got aftermarket arch flares a year ago and there lower then standard ones. may be i ...

Re: re cert for WOF
has it always had 35"s or have you gone up in size recently? it had 37s on for a bit and passed at VTNZ. the next time they failed it with 35s so took it some where else and passed so took it to them this time and fail on 35s. thinking i may borrow a set of standard wheels from a friend and put ...

re cert for WOF
so my 60 series failed the WOF today because its 50mm over the cert plat height. it has a spring over. also failed on the 35" tiers as they aren't mentioned just the 10x15 wheels. the last WOF i took it to at the same place said the spring were flat and it had to be raise so i got the front spring ...

Re: back to standard
Throw up a photo of your problem... There maybe some guys on here who can advise on a good fix... I would suspect if its just cracked and hasn't moved then a re weld would be in order with a bit of reinforcement.. Probably need to remove the knuckle and drive shaft from that side and wipe out the ...

Re: failed WOF what can i do?
got it booked in to the garage across the road from work tomorrow. just hope they dont pull me up but worth a go i think. ow and VTNZ also failed the inter cooler saying it needed to be certed as it could boost power but more then 20% but i questioned this and he went off for 10 minuets then come ...

Re: failed WOF what can i do?
the cert was done by some one else 7 years ago and i don't the paper work.
its going to cost lost to get recert but only $50 to get tested else where. i think its just VTNZ being to strict on 4X4s
