Oops sorry for the delay, been in CHCH. $4500 ONO, i will sell it for $3800 with out the new tyres and just put the ATs back on that it came with. Still fine for WOF!

Outback 4X4 has loads of Disco rads that one can replace it with. I just bought a recored unit (recored only a few months before wrecking) for $145 incl GST!!!!!!!!!!

Most peeps complain about them but have never owned one for starters.lol. BUT yes they are heavish on daily driving but then they are cheap as chips to buy. This is my 6th Discovery (2nd in NZ) and did it too all mine with out any electrical issues. im an ex Audi/ Landy mechanic and do every thing like its going through the factory again. The fan drags too much for me at times and although it did not over heat ever i have always been more comfortable ...

Any one got a good radiator for my 93 5 spd Disco V8? Pulled it to fit 2X 14" electric fans and see its corroded in one area but not leaking or over heating at all.
Also what temp elec fan thermo switch do i need to get? Im going to make an inline pipe with temp fitting in the top rad hose.

Guys, a hole sounds like a hole not a diesel! A diesel sounds like a diesel too. Zukies have a main bearing problem so its under load and mostly when hot then its th big ends on their way out.
Its a days work to pull engine, replace crank and bearings and refit so not too hard to do if it is this.

Can some one tell me which way the vicus fan loosens before I skin all my fingers. I forgot to loosen it before taking all the belts out etc and now am slightly disadvantaged in holding the pullies......BUT if i know which was the right way to start with it may save a few more fingers............

I just fitted Bighorns to my V8 Disco and although i havnt dont many kms they are not that noisey at all and did a bloody good job in the forest after a few guys ripped the track ion front and they couldnt get up, I did:)...but then i was in a true off roader.lol. EASY NOW, u will afford one one day ...

I was actualy on a a ride hosted by them on Saterday at Waiuku forest and no one knew. Its not a Landy only mod, loads of cars have them when they fit electric fans to get rid of the useless power sucking vicus fans. Im just popping two 14" electric fan off a sender unit and also wiring to over ride ...

Ok, so i took my Disconator out this week end for the first time ince fitting a" lifted spring, 2" body lift and new 33" tyres. What a nice ride. Didnt get stuck once, droped the tubes to 13 PSI and 2nd gear low ratio is all I needed to get up all obsticals. The new tyres showed me where i didnt cut ...

I had my Golf Ute alternator modified to run a welding machine for mobile work. Fitted a diesel fast idle cable to keep the rpm at 1200rpm minmum and off i went repairing breaks on construction machines.....havnt seen this ever again.
