I have a BJ 74 and have friends with 73s, and as far as I can tell, they are the same.
However, I went to get a clutch slave cylinder the other day and discovered that the 74 has a unique slave cylinder. This got me thinking, what else is different about the 74 compared to the 73?

landcruiser 74 cable locker --- cable location
So I have a 87 74 Landcruiser and have just bought a cable locker to go into it.
Where does the cable come into the cab and how does it run to get to the levers?

Semi-floating diff head into full floating axle - help?
I've got a 74 Landcruiser with a semi-floating rear axle and am looking at putting a full floating rear axle in with a Lock Rite locker. So what I would like to know is: can I put a semi-floating diff head, (from the current one) with a Lock Rite installed, into a full floating rear axle? I'm trying ...

Steering Stabilizer. Which brand do you recommend
I need a new steering stabilizer/damper for my bj74 land cruiser as the old one is shot.
So I need to know which brand do you recommend.
The cruiser is manly used as a club truck with the odd rode trip now and then.
I am running 33 MT but will soon be getting 35"creepy crawlers.

Odlins Road to summit - Slip
Hey all, Went up the main Odlins Road track today, and got about 600m away from the summit clearing and discovered a big washout intruding about a metre into the track. This meant there was only approx. 1.5m of track left, but the edge looked very crumbly with a very large drop. So if anyone's ...

Winch Fairlead Slot Size
Am looking at buying a winch fairlead for my 70 series pto and am tossing up between two models, with the main difference being size. What are your recommendations in regards to the fairlead slot hole size compared to winch drum length?(e.g. fairlead should be 40mm shorter) My winch drum is 190mm ...

Have you short about a second alternator
At least it would be a good back up and you could just use an old one.

To sway bar, or not to sway bar....
Just fitted some new Old Man Emu springs to my JB74, and noticed that the sway bar holds the axle up. I know a lot of people remove the sway bar for off-road use and was wondering is it worth doing or will it just handle like crap Any suggestions / comments would be appreciated as I'm still quite ...

What brand leaf springs to get.
In my landcruiser 74, the front leaf springs are badly sagged – only 30mm of travel on one side. So I am going to replace them with a 50MM lift. Somebody once said to go for EFS springs as they don’t sag like some others can, but I’ve also had a quote for some Maxi Tracks which were about $150 cheap ...

Hi all
I am looking at redoing my exhaust on my landcruiser 74. It's running a 13b-t 3400cc turbo
I just like to know is 2.5" ok or will it pay to go to 3".
