My 1995 Samurai speedo has stopped working. Can I get a new cable in NZ and are there any hints on installing it?

Samurai wheel flares
I am looking for original steel wheel flares for my 1995 Samurai (not the fancy rubber ones). Want left rear and front right, ideally in good condition. Maybe someone who has added the big rubber flares and now the old original ones are surplus to requirements?

Re: foot-well leaks
When I hosed water into the vents on top of the bonnet it immediately leaked into the foot-well, so the leak is definitely coming from the vents. I have forced water with a hose up the drain holes on the firewall to try and dislodge any crap up there and a certain amount of silt and vegetation came ...

foot-well leaks
My Samurai leaks water into the driver's side foot well. I park it outside (no room in the garage) and every time it rains I have to put a towel under the rubber floor mat to try and dry it out, but it still stays damp or wet down there. This can only lead to a rusted and rotten floor, that will nee...

Used 16 inch tyres
WANTED: Four used, 16-inch tyres with non-aggressive tread (sand-pattern is ideal but anything considered). Outside diameter 32 or 33 inches and 10.5 or 12 inches wide. 265/85/R16 or 285/75/R16 (or variations) would probably suit. Tyres can be worn but must be woffable. They are for a 1.5 tonne truc...

Winch problem
Today I accidentally over-ran my Ridge Ryder 9,500 winch - yeah stupid I know. I wasn't paying enough attention and pulled the cable up so tight on the spool that everything is now locked up so I cannot physically move the engage/disengage lever. Pressing the "out" button on the remote swi...

Leaking CV joint
G'Day,
My 1993 Samurai has been very trouble-free so far, but yesterday I noticed one of the CV joints is leaking oil. Its a slow leak - just seepage really (see pic). Just wondering: Is this important and if so, what can I do about it?

Re: Mufflers
Actually I do have a mig welder and can use it, but I don't have the time to do the job myself. I have decided to take it to a muffler repair shop (not my usual garage). Thanks for your input, guys.

Mufflers
I have a nice roadworthy 1993 Samurai JX80 with two worn out mufflers. I could hardly believe it when my garage guy told me he cannot replace the two old mufflers with new Samurai mufflers because they don't exist or even with new non-Suzuki mufflers because they are not compatible with the brackets...

Gas struts
G'Day, Me again :) . The gas strut on my Samurai rear door needs replacing and I am having trouble finding the correct one. Getting the right size and type is important because it is a b...... nuisance if the door opens too easily or too stiffly. Repco sent me one that seemed correct (for $72!!) but...

Thanks guys,
I've been away down south since posting and only just saw your replies. Concerning the 31x10.5x16 tyres, do you know who makes them?

Hi,
I am looking for 10.5 inch wide sand-pattern tyres that would fit a 16 inch wheel. Does such a thing exist?

Re: Using water
The sequel: It wasn't very complicated in the end, just a very slight leak from the radiator, discovered by a pressure test at my garage . I will block off the offending tube, for a cheap fix. Thanks for all your suggestions anyway
