Re: Hilux Surf 1KZ-TE Engine Running Temp?

My kzj78 sits around 80-85C. On the motorway cruising at 100kph it sits at 81-82 C, not once does my temp goes above 85 in traffic or going slow around town. If I go up a hill doing 50kph my egt sits at average 560C and the water temp goes up to 87 but never go near 90C.

Re: KZN130 Snorkel

Get the Arb snorkel but fit it yourself. When I had my one installed by a 4wd shop (not in auckland) it was a pretty crap job. The idiot so call follow the instruction decide to mount the plate to block off the factory intake from the inside of the air box . When I looked at it , I was like why didn ...

Re: Autos to warm or not to warm?

I initially had my truck setup trans out - aftermarket cooler - trans in. Recently I end up going trans out - aftermarket cooler - factory cooler that is part of the bottom of the radiator - trans in. My tots is that my aftermarket cooler does the majority of the cooling and the cooler/radiator ...

Re: Leaking coolant?

Hey mate. go to Tim Buys in Palmy North if you need work done. He can be an ass at times but generally him and his guys knows what they doing.. I guess if you dont see any leaks on the ground it would mean its going into the engine.. I would top the radiator back up and leave the car there for half ...

Re: Caster correction bushes.

Wheel has been balanced recently. I mean it's not bothering me and if people think its a waste of money the I won't bother. Just thought that for $200 to make the truck steering less sensitive at high speed then it's not too bad of a price to pay .

Ever since I have lifted the truck , on the motorway doing 100k the steering seems really light. Just see that the topic has been brought up recently maybe that's what I need.. Currently only running 30" AT tyres at around 80kph there is a slight vibration but once I go pass that it's sweet again ...
