If that was true then it wouldnt leave alot of room for standard suspension travel, mines also lifted 2 inch an its all good

You'll have to make new holes for the headlight mounts, its not as easy as it sounds, Ive seen a few 2wd hiluxs with the kzn130 front and all used the surf front panel for the headlights to fit properly

Hey all, recently my torque converter has stopped locking up above 85k, at first it started doing it every now an then, but now it doesnt lock at all, even when out of O/D. Fluid level is good, stall tests were ok, im out of ideas and my workshop manual doesnt seem to have anything in it about the ...

Rear diff blown, h4L locks the centre diff.
Put it in gear in 2wd and check if the drive shaft is spinning but no drive

it should not spin freely they do spin fairly freely when not needed. There is a valve inside the viscous hub which can be tweaked so it starts to lock up at a lower temp, also the fan hubs are underfilled from factory. a mate of mine has a waeco in the back of his ute, not sure wat model but it works mint, has put in a seperate battery jus to run it and has it wired to the ute battery with a vsr so it wont flatten the ute battery

I wouldnt recoment using these to lift a truck, in a lowered ute the weight on the block is only how much the u bolts have been tighted, on a 4wd it will have the weight of the vehicle aswell, wouldnt take long to fail

Considering these motors blow heads in standard guise regularly i'd be pretty wary winding it up to high. the overheating is caused by a useless fan hub and driving with ya foot hard up it, i refilled my fan hub, put in a boost gauge and towed a fairmont back from nelson with no problems at all ...

iv read that the factory efi setup will limit it to 14psi, can only get it higher with a mechanical fuel pump, 20psi would be safe, i wouldnt wana go much higher though

ive got a viair compressor and 5 gallon air tank on my courier minitruck, duno what they would be like for pumping up tyres, but ot gets bit of a work out when being a bit switch happy lol

Havent done a compression test but that is next on the list. Correct blue smoke is burnt oil which points me away from the fuel system. and no the oil hasnt been over filled. Im starting to think along the lines of a cracked ring or something like that? do these engines ever have any problems with ...

Seems to be the viscous hub thats the major factor to the overheating, mine is poked aswell, was told by toyota that the kzn185 fan hubs cant be serviced new ones arent cheap iv also herd that a kzn165 hilux radiator will help alot, just need to swap bottom tanks over for trans cooler if auto, the ...

today me and my brother decided to go for a wee drive through the noname, managed to get right through so off to the taipo we went.
