Not being picky but you may get more help if you post this under Toyota instead of Suzuki.

Have you had a chance to look at it yet? I had a similar problem in two escudo's i had. For me it was the bolt that the clutch and brake pedal pivots on. There is no support on the outside and they have a habbit of bending. I replaced mine with a High Tensile bolt 10X180 from memory cut to length.
