I'm fairly certain that there's been no water in the cab, bar rain particles.

The engine water temperature should already be fairly warm though, I'd been driving for about 10-15 minutes by the time I noticed the glow plug light come on.

Also just noticed now that the glow plug relay clicks in time when the dash light turns off, would this indicate that the relay is broken?

TD42 Glow plug dash light
Evening, While driving to work tonight I noticed the glow plug light on the dash flickering on and off, sometimes very dim. It was driving okay, didn't notice any out of place noises or decreased performance of the engine. Got to work, turned the engine off, sat for a bit, started it up again and it ...

They don't come more ignorant than me. Thinking oil level might be low I checked the dip stick with engine cold. No oil marks at all. I added about 1 litre of oil and checked again. Still nothing showed on the dip stick. The vehicle is a 1996 Nissan Mistral TD27. Am I missing something? If its ...

Re: electrical help please WD21
Double-check your wiring behind your new stereo, you may have connected the wrong wires together i.e. 12V+ to ACC on headunit or vice versa. Didn't think the petrol variants would be that thirsty, I'll do some calculations (price p/L vs km/L vs km/pa vs RUC/Reg costs) and make a decision. Taz, will be in in the morning.
