What would it be like on lpg?
i wouldnt be towing big huge loads (just the pop top in summer to the beacha bit of firewood) the price on these cruisers are in my range, i wouldnt be keen on the petrol but because its lpg it may be better?
also keeps mumsy happy with have 7 seats (fit the tribe)

1990 landcruiser vx dual fuel - any issues?
just looking at a dual fuel 1990 vx,
would lpg work out cheaper than a diesel to run? im guessing running on petrol would be thirsty but any issues running lpg the majority of the time?
anything to watch out for?

Ok oxygen sensor in exaust installed. dont like not having it. Should be Quite a lot of fuel coming out of regulator return. still my guess the issue is fuel pressure. map sensor pipe still on at the back?. same comp and wireing that came with engine/car i will give you a call tonight if thats ok ...

Just about any of the above. try with fuel cap off as if it isn't venting will build up pressure. change fuel presure regulator if can. when I had my fuel lines around the wrong way wouldnt fire at all. the engine will start and run with most sensors unpluged runnng on the comp base map but should ...

very strange but will idle away for nearly 1 minute? using the factory s1 fuel pressure regluator on the factory s1 fuel rails.
my mate has the same conversion (runs a treat)so hooked up his pump, petrol and lines to mine and still does the same.

the 1.6 dosent have as strong running gear eg axels. the daihatsus were never made for the holden v6 lol so will need to redo all engine / gear box mounts and drive shafts, The motor should be able to fit if its just a bush truck (not certed) - iv done the conversion on the rugger and iv got 2 mates ...

early1990's v6 commy motor plus the commy automatic gearbox, and then a isuzu transfer case off the auto gearbox, this will slide onto the back of the commy gearbox and make it 4wd, there is some shaft exposed so will have to make an adapter to fill in the gap. The daihatsu ruuger came out with the 2.8dt, but still gutless. Did the holden v6 conversion which was the cheapest to do plus a heap of them early commys going cheap.

early holden v6 with auto trans - mates upto the transfer case of a 90-94 bighorn but also has to be from an auto. the shafts too long from the commy so have to make a braket to cover the exposed shaft as it runs a little bit of oil. Drive shafts will need to be adapted from your diffs to the isuzu ...

Parts are rear, the rugger usually has the 2.8dt but were badged rocky in ausi and fourtrak in uk. the rocky in nz usually has the smaller 1.6. The rugger also has the solid front and rear diffs.

I use this loctite product at work, i dont have the money in the budget to get these panels repaired or replaced so we tried this and it has stopped it in its tracks, had rusted right thru in places.
