Who do I entrust with an engine overhaul? Engine reconditioners, Cliff Bond, Mace? And who can I source a new crank for a 4D56TI that won't take me to the cleaners?

Anyone have a source for one of these? Just discovered why I could never get the leaking to stop I was about an hour late to call the dealer today and ChCh is shut tomorrow.

How did you get on there? I did the same on mine a while ago and it leaks just as bad again after maybe 5000km's. Truth is when those engines get tired they are very efficient compressors and pressurise the crankcase something wicked. No seal will prevent that. Looking at a new engine....... wonder ...

new head(not aftermarket ) .Same cams and rockers should be fine , but new head bolts all the way ,because the old ones stretch Got one organised, new head,cam and rockers $1250! Ouch but the bores look so good she might do another 312,000 km..... here's hoping. You can still see the hone marks in ...

My Pajero has a cracked head, in three places. Does anyone recommend a supplier in ChCh. Should I reuse the old cam and rockers or replace them too? Current ones have done about 160,000km. What about the head bolts. should I use new ones?
