Dude, hope it work out for ya. Hardenough getting the coin togeter to buy toys without wank*rs ripping them off. Hope the Christchurch massive gets you a result. Wouldnt think you could hide that gear for long, would stand out like dogs balls on the track.

Same, my -5 offset 8.5" fly through wof, (but with 31 AT's)....the 16 x 8 -22 cruiser rims with 33's, forget-it.

Re: Rim Offset
Yep, agree...I run 15x 8.5mm at -5 offset on mine (only running 31's) with no clearance issues...also have a set of 16x8 -22 with 33, only minor scrape on front lower of bumper cover and had to remove the flaps, apart from that, fine.

Re: Rim Offset
legal for the guard clearance/coverage, not legal for increase in trackwidth, max +25mm increase...LTNZ rules without certification.

Re: Fergs new Pajero Shorty
8.8 bolts are about the same as imperial grade 5. I would go for 10.9's myself (imperial grade with matching nylocs (stay away from stainless, they are not HT at all). Also, 40mm works better than 50 I am told, transfer lever should still work, and most (if not all) lines will still have enough ...

Changing to 8" front diff
A question.....picked up a 8" (same ratio, but no axles) for my NH3.0Auto to get around the 'no locker' option. Any advice if I need the axels (inner and outer as well) or can my old one work (not sure about the spline sizes etc). I know I need a shortened drive shaft...Also I have a set of manual ...

Re: Any recommendation on Lovells coil springs?
Depends what you want the Q to do....if you've got konis i'd automatically think fairly hard settings and for mainly for on road use and fairly 'enthusiastic' driving...do you tow much (if so maybe EFS +100kg springs, but they could lift maybe up to 40mm if unloaded)...if towings not a concern ...

Re: What 4wd to get?
I get about 7.5km per ltr out of my 3.0 NH Auto on 33's. I also had a 3.0 v6 windom a while back, and I can say there is absolulty no point in trying to replicate the driving response in the Paj. Yes you will use a shit load of gas and at the end of the day, it is simply a much slower vehicle. That ...

Re: MT or AT for chch area?
My 2c worth... maxis bighorns could be a good compromise.....that or Silverstone 117 sports Kumho KL71's Bridgestone Dueler 673's (all reasonably well priced and fairly effective tyres - both on an off road - from what I have seen) If you're real keen on an AT, maybe have a look at Silverstone AT117 ...

Jono's fabrication rocks...i'd take the pepsi challange with his shit anytime...Nav'd in a blown lexus prado on 35 beadlock etremes other week, bounced out of a rut and straight into/up a 3 foot round old man pine at full throttle in 3rd with serious momentum after a 30 foot run up.....took about 10 ...

Re: 40mm body lift, winch bar, snorkle advice NH
What I was hoping was to tweak the torsions to still retain 1/3 droop, and had figured that with a flat body lift I would still end up nose down....dont really plan on 35's to be honest, 33's will be the main ones run... Whats the issue with changing the torsions (ie why would the height adjustment ...

40mm body lift, winch bar, snorkle advice NH
Guys A couple of questions. Ive got a pair of EFS 100kg (+40mm lift) springs and a pair of their torsion bars (to replace the spongy old factory ones). Should be able to get say 25mm at the front. Still expecting a bit of a wedge (the front seems to naturally be 40-50mm lower then the front, however ...

Matt, thanks for that. Brake check... is this the pull 3 stops from 100k/hr in a couple of minutes, or something else..., also, any idea about neg offset rims (not the guard issue, nor the increase over standard track), I got a set of 80 series rims that work well but eng up best part of 100mm ...
