Re: Flashing O/D Light and No Speedo

Just a quick update. The car ran fine for a bit and then started with the same problem again. The difference this time was there was no flashing O/D light. Having checked everything through, I have found a fault with the ECU. I've opened it up and found one of the pcb's has burnt and some solder on ...

If it was a flashing light there is a good chance it is sensor failure somewhere and it is flashing a code at you.

No o/d and the light was flashing once every second.

Flashing O/D Light and No Speedo

Help Before I spend a few hours under the car, has anybody had the same issues? On a run North over the weekend, the overdrive failed. I had no o/d all the way up to Russell. When driving around locally the next day, the speedo failed but o/d worked intermittently. On the run back o/d worked for the ...

Re: auckland 4wd spots

Have been looking on Google Earth to find some spots for a bit of 4 wheeling on the weekends. Does anybody know of any spots near Auckland? I know about Woodhill but I'm looking at South Head upto Dargaville?? Any ideas?

Cheers

Re: MICKEY THOMPSON MTZ

Had a look at them yesterday (just the lil 265/75/16's though). I lkie the look of them but not the price. Been mixed reviews in Aus about them, but like anything some people love em and others hate em. Be interesting to see how much wear you get with a heavy wagon on them as I have heard the ...

Re: 95 Toyota Landcruiser 80 Series Brake Pedal Sinking

OK...all sorted. In the end, we had to have the engine running to bleed the brakes. Loads more air came out but now all is good.....must be something to do with the ABS module

Re: 95 Toyota Landcruiser 80 Series Brake Pedal Sinking

Did you replace it with a new one or sec-hand? A pedal that sinks to the floor is fluid passing back from the presure seal and returning to the resivoir. Air in system will give a spongy or springy pedal. A leaking booster will act like its not working with a hard pedal. If you did fit a sec-hand ...

Re: 95 Toyota Landcruiser 80 Series Brake Pedal Sinking

Vacuum system in the booster. Sounds like a hole in the diaphragm. that's my guess. If it had a hole in the diaphragm, surely the pedal would be harder to press, as if the engine wasn't running? I'm lost for an answer! ClassicCruiserSpares, how do we get the air out the ABS system?? Does it need ...

95 Toyota Landcruiser 80 Series Brake Pedal Sinking

Help, my mate has an 80 series Landcruiser that has a sinking brake pedal. We replaced the master cylinder believing that to be the problem but it's still the same. We've clamped all the hoses and it still sinks and there is no fluid loss anywhere. What we have found is that the pedal only sinks ...

93 Hilux Surf - How Big Can The Wheels Be??

Hi, I have a 93 Surf, with a 2" Old Man Emu suspension lift (Torsion front, spring rear). Question is, how big can the wheels be? 31's look OK but can I squeeze in a 33? If not, what about 265/75 x 16? I'm looking to buy some Mickey Thompson alloys and tyres, so can go for either 15" or 16" wheels ...

Re: 1995 hilux surf ssr-x 1kzte major problems. Please assist.

I had a similar problem with a Nissan. I took the filter and spring out of the fuel inlet on the pump and all was cured. If you look where the inlet for the fuel goes into the pump, there'll be a banjo connection on the pump. Remove this without loosing the copper washers and then shine a light into ...
