Re: Tell me about the first Gen Mitsi Challenger

Thanks for the replys lads. Great info thanks COOCX, and yeah I agree the challengers are a heaps better looking truck than the pajeros ;-)

The 'Lokka' auto lockers sound like the go for the front end.

Good to know not to touch the V6's.

Cheers again.

I dont know a lot about them. I know they do a 3L V6 petrol, and a 2.8L diesel turbo. What are these trucks like, engines ...

'96 Vitara Brake Master Cyl???

Hey guys, The Vit has failed a warrent due to a leaking BMC. I'm having some major trouble finding a new cyl for it. Several different parts suppliers (inc BNT) cannot turn up the right cyl. Close but not right, too long in the cyl body, and wrong bore size etc. Even the Suzuki dealers said they ...

Re: Vitara Exhaust Manifold/Front pipe issues

The local Pitstop was hopeless, they reckon they have never ever seen a sucked in double skinned front pipe on a Vitara of any age, one bloked reckon he had read about it tho. So that was a waste of time. So i unbolted the 'J' section front pipe off the the manifold and looked at it myself, it is ...

Vitara Exhaust Manifold/Front pipe issues

I am aware of the double skinned front pipe closing off on early Vitaras. What i want to know is does this issue apply to the '96 onwards (1.6L) vehicles? ........or had the factory sorted it out by then? My 1996 appears to be stock cast manifold and front pipe, but has done 188,000km, so surely ...

Re: Tyres for vitaras

Dont forget that body lifts require certs. I have 225/75 R16 on mine and they rub quite a bit with standard ride height. nothing you cant live with though, but i am a bit rough. But they do screw the gearing up a bit too much really, next time round I will go to something a bit smaller. Thanks for ...

Re: Tyres for vitaras

Hi Guys, Have just bought a 96 Vitara 5 door 1.6. Intended use mainly as a hunting truck. So will be on sealed roads from town to the hills (approx 50 km from home) but want to be reasonably capable with light duty off road. Will also be doing a bit of driving around farm land, grass/mud to get to ...
