Had a quiet evening so out came the coloured pencils and this is the end result. Added the background using GIMP.

FS: '87 LN61 Hilux Surf 2.0 petrol - Set up for club runs
Hmmm well I really don't want to do this but due to moving and limited parking space the trusty Hilux is for sale. http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c112/TruenoMatt/Muddylux.jpg Has done 237,000km's and the clutch and gearbox are still good. Body is MINT for it's age with no rust or dents (people ...

Being such a smashing day in Auckland I decided to let the Hilux go topless.

Re: auckland ore meeting night
Unfortunately I'm going to have to pull out. The Hilux has hit a bit of a hurdle needing some structural rust work done for the WOF where the previous owner has bogged over. There goes more $$ just intime for Christmas

Yeah I have an air compressor too. Got some Force tyre deflators too (Staun copies) which I'm keen to try out. I can get a whole bunch of sacks from work as the D shackles we import come in them

Re: 28th 29th nov
Finally got round to painting and fitting the snorkel. Originally the snorkel was for a vehicle with the intake on the otherside, so a bit of fabricating by my mate and we made a box and bolted it to the guard. A curved pipe would have made more sense and I'm probably going to dent it along the way ...

Re: 31/10-1/11
Got my steel wheels fitted & balanced - the guy at the tyre shop even shined the tyres, although they won't be that shiney for long! Got some rubber strip from Para rubber to fit to the guards as the rims have the -24 offset so they stick out a bit. And yes I will be getting that snorkel fitted soon ...

Re: 22nd / 23rd Aug
Saturday got some new front disk rotors and pads fitted plus a new front left CV boot.. was a bit of a drama though - gettin the free wheeling hubs off too a while as the tapers had rusted onto the bolts. Sunday I took the front bumper corners off and removed the rear bumper to get to the spare ...

WTD: 15" Steel rim for '87 LN61 Surf
Hi all
After a 15" steel rim for my '87 Hilux Surf LN61 for the spare tyre which is a brand new 31x10.5xR15 Yokohama Geolander MTR. Seen them new on 4wdbits but not too sure of the offset or the best width.
Cheers,
Matt

Picked this up last night - '87 Surf 2.0 Petrol, manual, lifted a bit, Rancho shocks, rear LSD, Goodyear Wrangler A/T's.. ok it needs a re-power.. maybe a 2.8 Supra motor or Lexus V8 ( Later down the track ) Cant wait to get it out and on some tracks - being in Auckland the Jeep 4wd park would be ...

TD27 Auto g/box repair
Hi guys, I'm looking at a modded Auto Terrano D21 TD27 but it's slipping quite badly in drive.
What would be the best option?:
To replace the drive gear in the box?
Fit a reconditioned box in it's place?
And does anyone recommend a place to do this or source the parts in Auckland?
Cheers,
Matt

Which Gen 2 Pajero's have the LSD rear?
Just wanting to know how you can spot the Gen 2 Pajero's that have the LSD rear? Is it a certain model or engine type? Any year range?

2.0 Turbo Petrol Pajero
Hi guys Has anyone had much experience with the '80's shape Pajero with the 2.0 Petrol Turbo engine? Would they have an LSD rear or could you fit the rear diff-lock diff from the next generation? Had an absolute blast out at the Jeep Woodhill 4wd Adventure park on the free offroad driver training course with instructor Colin Burden. FOR SALE: '92 Suzuki Escudo set up for club requirements
Well after owning the Escudo for just under 3 months but not being able to really put it to the use it was designed for I have come to the decision to sell the 4x4. Has recently had the following work: - New cambelt - New top tank for the radiator - New front brake pads - New right/rear axle seal as ...
