Yeah well the truck is going again...kept flattening the batteries due to an auxillary power supply problem! So, all going well I will be there. Shouldn't Cockeye come after no name road coming from that direction? Also, 30" tyres could be a problem on napoleans hill, but have ropes etc. Al I found ...

Padero. I will leave work at 3.00, because my passenger (maybe) can be there then. That is from Charteris bay which is about 35 mins from Yaldhurst. Give me a call on 0210433507 and we can meet at the Yaldhurst Robbies carpark if you like. Otherwise I will keep a listen going on channel 11 PRS.

I have 50mm spring lift, 40mm body lift, and on 33" tyres and the only vibration I had was when the rear driveshaft rear universal seized. This because it don't get enuff grease from the nipple on the sliding part of the driveshaft! If you pump enuff grease into this one to reach the rear universal ...

Just remove the bottom half of the radiator shroud. I have no over heating problems. The hardest bolts to get at are the back four...might need a gas axe! When you do the lift there are some wireing looms that need eased, and if you have swaybar disconnect it will need altering. Just do it slowly ...

Go for 40mm body lift and don't need to cut the tunnel for extra gear lever travel. And less water ingress probs! That is what I was advised and did! I used 80mm plastic and can give you the adress in Chch plus some I had left over if you are a Chch peep.

Bill if the road is not closed it will be fine, just it has soft spots that you don't want to hit too going too fast. Also some of them are so sft your truck may just sledge straight on if on a corner. Just need to be aware of the problem and drive accordingly.

Looking good. We are all booked in and two new tyres coming down from Petone to replace my slick fronts...chose to stick with the goodyears rather than simex which were the other choice...can't get any for the back until a back order arrives but still have chains if need be! :(

No matter what set up you use, make sure you seal thoroughly round the joint back from the aircleaner. It usually has a huge gap!!

Hooks on a GQ on the chassis extension are fine. I have a GQ with an altered winch mount but all done with the right bolts The strain is equal going forward so no probs so long as the bolts are rated!
