Re: changing/checking diff oil

yeah you should change the fuel filter as well, make sure that you use a 24mm 6 point socket on your diff bungs as they round of very easily. I use 75w/90 oil in my diffs the only thing that could be different in yours would be if it has a LSD fitted, then you will need a specific oil True pretty ...

Re: common things after putting larger tyres on

If you have raised ya rear 50mm you will need to move you brake proportional valve rod up 50mm as well ....as your rear is now 50mm higher there will be a lot less braking in the rear as the valve is stopping more of the fliud going to the rear drums.. Very easy to do.just make up a bracket to move ...

Re: common things after putting larger tyres on

Bigger tread equals less (dull) brakes as they have a bigger moving mass to pull up. Chuck some recovery hooks on the wish list along with some strops / snatch ropes and a high lift jack / hand winch. Sooner or later u will be caught out with ur new 33s on there. By the way, IFS surfs are a cool ...

i reckon you can get about 1.5 inch lift in the front from the torsions. Any more and you run out of down travel making it bloody useless and you will start lifting wheels cornering on road etc and also make it a very very hard ride. I have always found 1.5 inch and 2 inch in the rear is fine for ...
