I recent went through this with my prado,
I ended up cutting the old flange off and welding a 2" 2 bolt flange to the header.
it gave me more room as a result but the different flange thing had me scratching my head for a bit.
nice cad work btw. form within function is a beautiful thing.

Re: cowboy mechanic ripped off my mate, advice?
Phew, that was a long read...... In the LVVTA manual it says that the engine should not come in to contact with the axle. of course this is obvious to most ppl. The certifier has not one his job properly in allowing this vehicle to be made road legal, nor has the VTNZ. this knob end has done a bad ...

Re: Manualising your Auto, A "How To"
ok, the idea is to feed power to pin 4 in the diagram below, this in turn will be directed out of: pin 9 D pin 2 2 pin 3 L I have noticed some variation in switch shape and configuration but they all will have these outputs, they just may be in a different place and may not have wires in the plug ...

Manualising your Auto, A "How To"

Re: Have you removed the swaybar on your offroader?
I removed them both from my 4" lifted IFS surf, i did however have modified HD Pajero rear shocks in the front and HD cruiser shocks in the rear which made it ride extremely hard but, it handled very well on 33 KL71's on cruiser offset rims. It handled better than a bog standard surf with sway bars ...

Re: 1UZ Prado For Sale

Re: Sand Drags in the UAE
Yea, and I bet if you looked closely at some of them you might see they came from NZ, or parts of at least. Cool trucks but its a pity when you know where stolen ones ends up. yes thats the idea, tar the entire UAE with the same brush that is used on a hand full of unscrupulous individuals... nice ...

Re: What trans?!
FYI, the A340H has an auto reduction box. sort of like and extra set of planetary gears for low ratio, means changing low to high to low on the go. 2 speed reverse is also interesting although i think its pretty hard on the trans. Manualising the standard auto is also a simple task, advantages of ...
