Ok thanks, I probably have a 4.8 diff then. Like i said i think the diff is not standard. If it was it means that with the standard tires fitted in 5th at 100kph the engine would be sit at around 3000rpm... seems way too high.

Are the 4.8's out of the V6 petrols?

has anyone had any success in stoping the linkage rotation by fittting a steering damper?? Or will this just put more stress on the joints?

ahh ok so new drag link ball joints! do they seperate? or do i need to buy a whole new drag linkage assembly?? then next step would be to fit slider plates to stop that rotational deflection thats stuffing the ball joints? and also fit some form of idler arm brace.
