Re: VITARA?ESCUDO rear shocks.
Ohhhh yeah, they are hard all right, not too bad though. I lost my handling when i did the suspension lift and took out front sway bar, so these stiffer shocks in the back make the road handling loads better, and when i tested them off road yesterday they were awesome, excellent control and when ...

i have run the strut cap flip on a few escudos and have not had any problems. did you slip a few washers on each bolt to fill the lip on the cap and make it sit flush? Hey mate, i also used new M8 30mm 8.8 high tensile bolts and nylocs, as replacement for the studs i pressed out, theyre all good ...

VITARA?ESCUDO rear shocks.
Well guys lift is done and have just replaced the rear shocks with some adventure 4x4's by monroe, they are 55mm longer in down travel and nearly the same in up travel as standard, however im a bit worried as they are heaps beefier than std ones that when compressing the top half of shock, (the part ...

Re: 1995 V6 Escudo SWB susp lift,
Mines a 2.5L and I've always put 91 in it to try and keep the fuel bill down. Tried 95 once when I first got the car but was probably too green to notice the difference but will try it again. I get 13.5l/100km around town which is crap for a 1450kg car but it not too bad for a 4x4 by the looks of ...

Re: 1995 V6 Escudo SWB susp lift,
That thing connected to the spring is the brake proportioning valve, it changes how much brake pressure goes to your rear brakes depending on how loaded your rear is. I run mine on 95, ran it for a bit on 91, think it does actually run better on 95. Oh okay and the spacer on the a frame isnt going ...

Re: 1995 V6 Escudo SWB susp lift,
Hey guys, found two options for rear shocks, i can go 55mm longer shocks max, as then the rear lift springs wobble round, i can get the shocks to suit a lowered VL commy 50mm longer or some that suit a prado rear which are 55mm longer, but may be a hard ride. They both compress almost to suzuki ...

Re: 1995 V6 Escudo SWB susp lift,
Hi Rugard, Yeah, no problem getting wofs (Seriously, what wof guy is going to pick this up ?) and still running the standard front shocks. The strength of the cap should be exactly the same as before you flipped it, as long as you use 8.8 bolts to secure it where you pressed out the studs. You have ...

Re: vitara jlx lift
Hey Rugard, you'll find that your bumpstop will not allow you to use that 50mm extra up travel. Once you have surpassed that you might have to do a body lift as my tyres 30.5" rub with standard up travel and no body lift. sorry churchill, thats down travel mate, up will be about the same so no rub ...
