We just droped the torsions down at the back, undid the gear box mounts, undid the drive shafts ect and slid the gear box back as far as we could.

Re: Rev counter going backwards on td27t
I had a simalar prob. I had the SD23 and put in a TD27t. The SD sensor picked up one (from memory)pulse per rev and went direct to tacho, the TD sensor picks up 6 pulses per rev and drives the tacho via the EGR 'Brain'. This black box is found in the rear left guard in Terrano's. I had to use one ...

Rev counter going backwards on td27t
I have just installed a td27t-2 into my navara, The factory speed sensor in the navara is by the water pump. but in the 94 td27t-2 it is under the diesel pump gear. The plugs are the same, but when the motor is started the needle starts a 6000 rpm and works it way back down. We reversed the pins in ...

10 psi at idle maybe. idle being about 5-700 rpm. if you can get that out of a starter motor you would have to be feeding it like a 100 volts in which case watch out for the flying bits. and the smoke lol. honestly you have gone above and beyond the call of duty. most engine after sitting a few ...

TD are not quick on getting oilpresure. Im thinking you are not getting enough spin out of starter motor to get oil presure up. I would be inclined to start it. you have no reason to think the engine has a proplem other than your starter motor no oil test. I spent a few hours this morning trying to ...

We had problems removing td27t motor from gearbox. The sump was hitting the front diff, we ended up unbolting the clutch and leaving it in the bell housing to give us some more space. We also jacked the gear box up. Is there an easier way to get the motor back in IE drop the front diff, slide the ...

I think this was an option in cold climates, it would overpressurize diesel in pump for starting. I read it somewhere.
I think i read this to in the td27 book
timing case plug is for engine revolution sensor for ERG system

Can the newer nissan td27t eti motors be converted to run a mechanical injector pump off the older td27t. I am not realy wanting all the hassels with the wiring loom ect but want the newer low km motor.
Re: navara
Just get the turbo, injector pump, inlet and exhaust manifolds, oil block for the oil filter this has the turbo lines ect.The only difference with the injectors is a shim that changes the release fuel preasure And you don't have to tap the block or sump for oil return, just check your compression befor ...
