Ah-ha.
After studying those pictures more I can see that the oil pump relief valve is actually on the other side of the engine.
Will pull it out later and see if it is ok.

I can see where the by pass valve would be on my old motor but after sticking my head underneath my truck there appears to be no such hex head bolt on the new motor Hmmmmm now I am worried i'm gonna have to pull the motor ...
