Ah-ha.
After studying those pictures more I can see that the oil pump relief valve is actually on the other side of the engine.
Will pull it out later and see if it is ok.

Thanks kbushnz, after reading that post i shot out to the shed to investigate. I can see where the by pass valve would be on my old motor but after sticking my head underneath my truck there appears to be no such hex head bolt on the new motor Hmmmmm now I am worried i'm gonna have to pull the motor ...

Surely is. I work for a company that sells oil and filters (i shall name no brands) And have definitely put the right one on. I changed the oil filter bracket over from my old engine to the new one and now have this issue. I have sifted through the many forums and it would appear that no-one ...
