Trip went well and thanks to ORE was joined by Nick in his Cruiser 3L Diesel. Will post a trip report once I find out where report drafts can be retrieved from when they are saved on the forum.

Thanks for the info - for my own part I'd be happy if we got as far as Loch Katrine. If the track beyond the Loch is anything like it used to be I doubt very much if my Freelander would even look at it. Last time I was up there (quite a long while ago) there were 2 army unimogs stuck on the track ...
