Re: Fireworks thrown into Woodhill causing Fires last night

Mate of mine was surfing at Piha today, another fire there too with kids with 10 shooters trying to get the surfers  They did get caught though, but another trip for the volunteers.

Re: 09-10 February

Headed to Muriwai and went for a surf, then went for a bit of a drive to show the other guys the beach. Ended up pulling three people out of the soft stuff. One was all good, just shouldn't of been in there by himself, got some beers (for the passengers) and some petrol money. But for the other two ...

Went for a trip up Muriwai. Lot of fallen trees everywhere and counted 7 cars buried in the sand before Wilsons Road. Guess the storm has moved some serious sand.

Wont be able to do 13/14th, however think my alternator has gone so need to have a look at that this weekend, and who knows if I will be able to get it sorted by the 5th. So don't worry about me.

Thought I would change the oil on the pto winch before I use it. I see the previous owner was using mud and water... Looks like it is from woodhill. Might need to design a breather.

Don't really want to change the diff oils now.. scared

Re: '89 Nissan Safari Parts Wanted

Managed to get a new housing (thanks mudtroll) but unfortunately it is missing one of the brass connectors, anyone know who does fuel line bits? I have tried Enzed hose, Repco, Supercheap, and Segedins and none do fuel line stuff.

Thanks

'89 Nissan Safari Parts Wanted

Hi all, I am needing some parts for my Nissan Safari 24v and was wondering if anyone might have some. Am looking for the housing for the fuel filter (the top bit with the pump). I am also looking for a petrol meter, as mine has gone. If anyone has these, or may know someone who does, please let me ...

Another from Auckland

Hey guys Have asked a few questions in these forums and thought it would be a bit rude not to introduce myself! So I'm Andrew from Western Springs and have got a Nissan Safari LWB '89 TD42 which I have taken up Muriwai and Woodhill a couple of times. Have got the bug and now got a long list of what ...

Re: 23rd/24th & 25th Sept

Got the Pajero off the tarmac for the first time since May! Just for a gentle cruise up Muriwai for a kitesurf at South Head. Rebuild engine is going good - still running it it. Not much left to do, just need to make up some new cables for winch, and maybe another 500 km of running in. After that ...

Cool thanks for that Peter, never been over to Tukino so should be good.

Re: Which GPS to buy?

It takes awhile, but just let it run, and if you have a decent size memory card you should be able to get a large area. I have from Auckland north, and it fits on a 4gb memory card.

Also how many zoom options you chose adds to the size as well. Just have to get a feel of what is best for you.

Re: Which GPS to buy?

I have got a Samsung Galaxy S, the app I have on the phone is OruxMaps - is free. To get the maps I use a program call Mobile Atlas Creator and it pulls the maps from nztopomaps.com which is also free. So if you have a Android phone with GPS this is a free solution and it works well for me. The maps ...
