Pajero 2.8 Any good?
Hi people. Was looking at getting a 2.8L Pajero 1995 LWB, are they any good? Do they have any major known issues? One i was looking at has 160k on clock, just figured id get some opinions on their reliability/or lack of, they seem to be cheaper than say a surf/terrano, looks to be relatively well ...

Re: Nissan Mistral blowing black smoke
My Terrano did same thing, same motor, had the injectors cleaned out & reconditioned by a diesel specialist , ran clean as a whistle after that.

Re: 2.4 Surf white smoke on startup

Re: 2.4 Surf white smoke on startup
I changed out the glowplugs, seems a tad better but still does it, what I am also getting now is a misfire which feels like on one cylinder, and I am getting now greyish/white smoke for 20-30 seconds and engine a little shaky until then, then it goes fine - it def isnt steam/coolant at all, I have ...

Re: 2.4 Surf white smoke on startup
Heya, well it doesn't smell sweet at all, - from what I understand burnt coolant has a distinctive sweet odour to it, this has a fuel kinda smell to it, it isn't bad and clears up shortly after starting and you don't see anything after that but I always like to get ontop of problems before they ...

2.4 Surf white smoke on startup
HI just a noob query, I just got hold of a manual 2LTE 2.4 surf , 217kms, new head, injectors recond, recond diesel pump/seals, new radiator, cambelt, waterpump etc etc the works - Truck blows no smoke under load & drives great ( for a 2.4....), which I would probably account to the clean injectors ...

Terrano TD27T Compression query
Hi I have a 95 D21 Terrano 2.7TD, just had the injectors redone & cleaned out by diesel specialists in Wellington as car had been putting out more black smoke than usual, so that problem is solved, running really cleanly now however- They did a compression check for me and one cylinder was low, 3 ...

Re: Terrano D21 Auto Trans issue.
Hmm that could make sense , Im in Wellington and it has been getting quite fresh lately..Its fine once warmed up - as I say it takes 5-10 mins of motorway driving to change, just frustrating, its like move move god dammnit change gear already. Not that diesel terranos are rockets in any sense but ...

Terrano D21 Auto Trans issue.
Hi, gotta 95 D21 terrano (diesel) automatic, when car is cold, it seems to take its sweet time shifting into 4th, so you are doing near 3K rpm at 100kph for a while until it decides to shift gear, usually this happens after 5-10 minutes, after that its fine and works as per normal. Trans has fresh ...

Re: 2.7TD D21 Terrano Snorkel question
Thanks for that, you are probably right, the filter was pretty knaff, shame on me for not changing it earlier...It was a Generic terrano D21 chassis kit snorkel, was a bugger actually, had to reform the snorkle slightly to go around the factory aerial & also had to pull out & change the factory ...

95 Terrano Door Sensor
Hi, Does anyone have any useful tips for a twitchy door open sensor on a Terrano? The DOOR OPEN led flickers on\off on the dash now and sometimes stays on solid, I can't seem to pinpoint which door it is but I am highly suspicious of the main boot/hatch door, has anyone else had this issue and or ...

2.7TD D21 Terrano Snorkel question
Hi, this is a question more of curiousity, I have had a snorkel kit fitted to my terrano by wgtn 4WD specialists which is great.. I notice you get more of a engine vibration\gurgle from the snorkel and you also get a more pronounced turbo noise, my question is.. I just replaced my air filter today ...
