Its for the 2lte with the electronic pump but still has a lot of good info. Look like he gets good power and reliability. Fair bit of work though.

Re: hilux exo
Made a few mods/improvements lately. Made a mounting setup for a second alternator which powers the winches separately to the truck charging circuit. If the original truck alternator dies or truck battery is flat, the truck circuit can be supplied from the winch circuit through a heavy duty battery ...

Re: hilux exo
Adam you'll have to move the radiator and have the second winch motor facing backwards to fit the 2up on that bar. It wouldn't fit in the bar with the second motor facing forward. Pete, the winch seemed to go pretty good the one weekend we used it in anger, but the standard Lexus alternator wasn't ...

Re: 'Tuff Lux's LN106 4 link
Hey mate obviously the triangulated 4 link is fully custom so how do go about lengths and where mounts need to go? I'm doing some homework on how set one up on my surf. I downloaded a 4 link calculator to help with dimensions which was a good starting point for me as I hadn't done one before. I ...

Re: 3L or 5L engine wanted.
Will be pulling the 3L out of my hilux in the next couple of weeks. Turboed it almost a year ago but can sell without the turbo setup if you already have one. Never had any problems with it apart from starter and alternator which have been replaced. Guy I brought the truck off said it had been ...

Re: Toysafari project
I think I'm probably going to use a manual toyota r151 and make an adapter to fit it to a falcon bellhousing. Will be using a stand alone loom that will run the motor and get the ecu reflashed to suit the manual and to remove the security. Will use a pedal and position sensor out of a falcon to run ...

Re: Toysafari project
Hey Mate, I'm looking at starting the same conversion over xmas but keeping the hilux chassis and coiling it front and rear. I'll be running stock ecu and will be keeping the motor stock for now. I think I've sussed out most of what i need to get it running in the lux so let me know if you want to ...

Re: 'Tuff Lux's LN106 4 link
Got it pretty much finished now. Still a few bits and pieces to tidy up but got it up the bank for a flex up. Could of got a bit more out of it but the tray sits on the tyres so might need to mod it a bit. http://i.imgur.com/yXgccOS.jpg http://i.imgur.com/6IURfuh.jpg http://i.imgur.com/8IJKG8A.jpg ...

Got a bit more done. Everything welded up. Just need to mount fuel tank then flex it up to get shock lengths then paint everything. Can anyone suggest a good paint to use? 'Tuff Lux's LN106 4 link
Been doing a bit of work on my mates ln106 double cab hilux. Half way through a double triangulated four link so I thought I'd put some photos up. Some mods we've done so far are: - Stock 1uz - R151 with gear driven transfer adapted - Rears up front with crossover steering - Longfeilds - Rear lokka ...

Re: Hilux rears up front conversion
Cheers for the suggestions Pete. We didnt do the front crossmember due to the front bar bolting to the bottom of the chassis. Might look at beefing it up or making the crossmember and modding the bar to suit.
