Yeah would probably be the easiest option but would be nearly $700nz not including tax.Maybe ill just try this setup, seperate 3.4:1 reduction box someones made a nice job of it but would be way too slow in high

Update... got the sump on without removing the bracing just a bit of hammering around the back of the sump same as the 8v. Time to put it in & see if my wirings right. By the way iv got a 8v 1600 setup for a sj for sale trade me listing 1109570693 Thanks again for your help swamped much appreciated

Yea that's what mine looks like, it looks as though its going to hit the baffle as the bottom of the rail is a bit over 40mm from the seating surface between the block & sump & the baffle is only about 35mm. I'll try trimming the rest of the baffle back a bit & see how it fits otherwise I'll take ...

Ok so did you just leave that rail in there? iv done a couple 8v 1600s so know they need a bit of a bang around at the back to clear the housing but they dont have that rail, im guessing its for strength?? . cheers

Hey, about to put my 1300 sump onto the 1600 just wondering if the rail thats bolted on with the conrod bolts needs to be removed or will the sump fit with it on with a bit of mucking around?? Cheers

Its got a 8v 1600 injected no smoke never gets hot, power steering, rear disc brakes, 50mm suspension lift, 50mm body lift, runs 31s without rubbing but will be keeping them to put on the next one it will come on 30" sumitomo muds with at least 5mm tread ...

Hey mate, I just got one the other day from one of our local mechanic shops its a genuine Suzuki part & it was about 30 bucks. you should be able to get most places to order one, I think the proper term for it is a transfer case sheet bushing.

Finally got round to swapping back springs around & they were round the wrong way so now its sits straight again finally ill be able to sleep at night! haha

Its probably about 40mm low on the r/h front corner, some people could live with it but it annoys me especially coz it used to sit so straight. the chassis should be straight it had never been off road before I got it & I havnt done anything to it to bend it. thanks for your ideas, ill try adding ...

Thought id update, swapped the springs round the right way but still leaning quite severly to the drivers side & its been driving me up the wall! going to try swapping the backs over & that's my last option before doing something dodgy like adding extra leafs or spacing the front hanger mount which ...

Yes leaf springs, I didn't realise there is a left & right side so iv probably got it round the wrong way how do you tell which is which? do the rear springs have to be the right way round too or are they both the same?

Iv only used a escudo radiator coz it came with the motor & saved me spending money on getting a new sj one (been through so many second hand ones), I mite have to look into getting something else coz power steering will be great, thanks for that
