may i suggest don't just limit yourself to rides in ladas that way i'm sure you will get more offers I was not planning on to, but a guy has to dream BIG! Hi I am a Niva enthusiast from Belgium and I'm visiting NZ hopefully sometime next week. I was wondering if I could hitch a ride as copilot in a niva on a 4x4 trip to see the offroad side of NZ. Standard the 1600 does not have a fuel filter, just a little sieve inside the carb. But most dealers install an after-market filter in the engine compartment, between the metal fuel line and the fuel pump. Just cut the flexible hose and stick it in between.
