I've heard the motorway can be quite good, say between 8-9 am and 5-6 pm. Make sure you take extra fuel, cell phone, food, as you may be out there till after dinner

2L LUX

what are the 2l luxes like? I know they are gutless like all hilux motors! I am looking at buying one for around three grand.
It will end up getting an engine swap later any way, looking at a supra conversion.

why scimp on somthing thats there to help prevent big$$$$ on a rebuild if you swamp your engine???? The extra two hundred dollers isn't much compared to a rebuild, or the worry every time you do a water crossing!

nah don't want an airflow (now that I've opened that can of worms)my mate had one on his 40 crusier, it just did'nt fit well. But they are cheap.
I still reckon a stainless one looks good and its different.

custom snorkel

has any one had a snorkel custom made? if so how much? I was thinking an exhaust outlet would maybe do it? I know you can buy the tops for about 80$
I was thinking stainless tubing, gotta be cheaper than an airtech or safari snorkel. Plus the custom bling factor!

Try the wreckers as heaps of imports have em, I saw some on trademe not long ago dunno if they were for a paj worth a look though.
Six hundred is a bit steep for mud flaps!! Do they do somthing special like keep your truck extra clean or aid in traction!
