Went through this exercise myself about a year ago, but didn't end up following through in the end. There are several guys in Chch who do beam axel conversions.

Expect the thick end of $4,000.00 though, and go for the coil strings (better travel). :wink:

So their claim that the hubs are perminantly lubricated is a bit of a stretch then? or are we just not supposed to get them wet Put the hubs on yesterday and didn't have any trouble. I had the same problem with my surf a copuple of years ago. I took the easy option to save a dollar, and ripped the aircon system out. Believe me - if you wind the window down about 2 inches, you'll never miss it!
