Macetown trip between 27th & New Years

Planning on doing an overnighter to Macetown. First time up there so I'm keen to get some local knowledge on current conditions or better yet, tag along with if anyone else is planning on heading up.

Had a peak yesterday and it looks fantastic.

Cheers, Aaron

Re: surf double battery replacment?

I've just done this in mine. m I run a heavy duty cranking battery and using the above system have an automatically isolated deep cycle battery for stereo, LED work light and spare 12v power outlets. The aux power is on all the time and the stereo has a switch between ignition power and aux. Once ...

Re: My new bottomless pit

Thanks. I've just bitten the bullet and got front lockers as well which I'm told you need for those really challenging carparks Apart from some rock sliders which I've ordered, I think that'll do me for a while. I know Surf's probably aren't the most capable offroader having a long wheelbase but I ...

Re: My new bottomless pit

Relax lads, no need to get precious. If you read my original post, I was not tearing up Wilsons Rd. It was my first drive offroad in my new Hilux and as it turns out 4WD didn't work so I really didn't have a choice. As an offroader, hunter, fisher and camper I respect this great land of ours and ...

Re: Hilux Surf 4x4 Lights Flashing Constantly

Well I fixed it but what I did shouldn't of worked. There are two transfer indicator switches (2&4) m and when I disconnected them both the system works fine. In theory it shouldn't work. What the heck is going on? With these disconnected all modes of 4wd work and the dash lights work as well Also ...

Got hold of one and while its fixed the fault with 4WD engaging, there's still a fault with the 4x4 lights constantly flashing.

Hilux Surf 4x4 Lights Flashing Constantly

I recently bought a 3rd gen Hilux and the first time I took it offroad the friggen 4WD wouldn't engage at all. Yeah I got stuck and had to be pulled out. Turns out the centre diff actuator was poked so I've had that replaced and now all 4WD modes work fine except the 4WD lights just keep flashing ...

Are you talking about a Hilux Surf as opposed to a double cab Hilux? I have a 96 Surf, the seats fold down flat. You can buy mine Thanks and good point - It's a Surf so if you could let me know the measurements that would be great. Tell me about yours, i'm interested if it's for sale and you're a ...

Inside dimensions - 96 Hilux

Hey guys - first post.

Seriously looking at a 96 Hilux for hunting and general off road stuff.

Question: What is the internal length with the back seats folded down. Also, do they fold completely flat? Just wondering if I could sleep in the back...
