I imagine it will need some support, as the tyre etc will be quite heavy. Also remember that reversing a trailer with the wheel on the back is a pain, especially if your truck is lifted as you wont be able to see it at all.

I now have a set of Maxima callipers for sale. They wont work on my truck (my other truck - see "other projects" thread) $20 if any one wants them, including freight nationwide. What other callipers have people used? preferably something that sits closer to the face of the wheel, as the maxima ones ...

for a boy racers Lets not start the name calling, but cheers for the compliment. If a bag blows, ive got more to worry about than wheel to guard clearance. The tyres wont actually hit, but the chassis will be on the floor. The bonnet wasnt actually too bad, we designed it to clip off with no tools ...

Brendan at Nite Parts sells bellhousings to fit 1JZ's, not sure if that helps.

Fitting a 1JZ in the engine bay is a squezze though, length wise that is.

a 1JZ should bolt up to an R152 box. Are you sure its not a 1GGE that you are talking about?

If the R150/51/52 box casings are the same as R154 (internals are) then they wont have seperate bellhousings.

Surf water temp sensor

Hey guys. The on going drama of my surf continues.

The ecu is coming up with a faulty water temp sensor code. So i replaced the sensor that activates the gauge. Only to find out there is another sensor aswell.

Where is the sensor that tells the ecu the water temp? (1KZTE)

cheers

Oil pressure on 1kz-te

Just wondering where the pressure gauge would normally sit at idle when the vehicle is warm? and how high it should go under load? Im just worried that my new engine is a tad low on pressure.

Thanks

All sorted. The overheating was a large amount of air in the pipes that go to the rear seat heater/fan unit, and the wire was an earth.

Now its time to play. :D

One other question. It looks to be an earth, but could go to the alternator maybe. The ...

I got the engine in and running last night, It would have been easier to make the new radiator drop brackets, as the radiator hoses dont really fit now.
