Re: 350 chev water+methanol injection?

The methanol will help you, but in a naturally aspirated engine, especially a carbed engine, I don't know how much help you will get. Turbos make heat, so the WMI helps to reduce temps. In fuel injected engines, the meth can reduce heat before getting to the combustion chamber. With a carb, the air ...

That's cheaper than what an SKS sells for in the US. Free bump

Crash, where are you getting your info. I am not finding anything on them. All I see listed is a 2.4 engine.

Sorry to bring this back up, but would the US D22 with the VG33 or K24 be the same?

Re: Initial thoughts on Methanol injection.

Hence the little nozzle before IC, and the most of the flow after the IC. Go small before all three of them, and then big after the IC. If I had room to get a fitting welded before my IC I would have a m.5 on it, just like I have before the turbo, but it's a vertical drop from the IC to the turbo ...

Re: Initial thoughts on Methanol injection.

SCs made in the last 20 years should be ok with methanol. after the turbo and before the blower should be helpful, a little nozzle before the IC should help drop temps and keep the heat soak down, and after the IC should take most of the flow.

Re: Konnichiwa from Japan

Ibaraki, one prefecture south of Fukushima and two north of Tokyo.

Been looking at the Td27 or the QD32 in the terrano, or the 130 version of 1KZ. Seeing turbo and boost upping on the terrano, and more tuning stuff for the 1KZ made me think I should be a part of this.

Konnichiwa from Japan

Currently on my 7th year in Japan, and a post from a member of a water injection forum I am a member of brought me here. Really interested in diesels, and diesels SUVs, and saw several threads about the TD27 and the 1KZ, so I thought I would join up. Closest to 4WDing I got was a 400hp AWD Eagle ...

Re: water injection vs water 2 air intercooler setup

water injection will be available at all speeds, and you don't have to worry about your heat exchanger heat soaking. Both have pumps, and the water air intercooler can take ice and possibly get you to below ambient temperatures.

Re: Initial thoughts on Methanol injection.

To the OP, be careful of running too much methanol on a diesel. Check out this page

Written by a duramax owner.

To the other posters, you can use methanol, ethanol, or even isopropyl alcohol.

Windshield wiper fluid in most countries contains methanol or ethanol, might want to look into that.
