first thing i would do is check to see thermostat is operating normal, or if there is one at all, cheap easy fix that is most likely the cause of your problems

Re: Terrano trans question
the oil expands a lot when hot an kills everything, I have seen it expanded to round 30-40mm past the hot high level on dipstick, once cooled back to normal but metal filing throughout. Some people have the mentality that trans and diffs don't need servicing an only worry about engine oil Surely it ...

. The td27 or td27t pressure plate will bolt to the qd32 and will work fine. However they ay be a bit revy on the torque converter due to the extra power torque of the qd32( not to much of an issue) I have not taken the auto out of a terrano but I hear getting the torque converter bolts is a thing ...

Why not just re wire fan through relay an temp probe or switch, easy job an will save any future problems...also allows you to set what temp you want it to run. Just an idea anyway

Re: Taking gearbox out of D21 terrano
remember if auto the torque converter will still be in place (can leave this by removing bolts though bell house window before I bolting box) Interesting, I wouldn't have thought you would get the bell housinge back far enough to clear the TC. Trans guys said they remove the transfer case prior to ...

Re: Terrano d21 Not engaging gear? Auto trans problems..
Did you get trans power flushed when changed filter? A lot of people don't an just change filter, this doesn't drain all the oil such as the oil in TC...if not i would recommend it just uncase there was a small but of metal on metal action when oil was low which may have entered the oil system ...

Re: safari spirit 2.8d junk or ??
I would love to find one as they are rare, the best part about them is any rb engine will straight bolt in as they use same engine mount positions an interchangeable bell housing, meaning it would only take a weekend to bolt in a big Hp rb30det if that's your thing..or for a more civil approach the ...

Re: does wheel size offect fuel consumption
Just put the 33's on the back and the 31's on the front, thats what I do for fuel economy, the vehicle thinks it is going downhill all the time. If you turn the fan on full bore it also helps as it forces air out the vents in the rear of the cab creating forward momentum, much like a fire hose ...

Haha fiat uno an a push bike are great options but then we will have to cover running 31s on a uno or installing a 3 cylinder Kubota diesel engine on a push bike...seriously can't understand why someone would waste so much time thinking about getting better gas mileage for a terrano...these sorts of ...

Mine also used to do the same thing even with new viscos hub an water pump.even new viscos did not come on full until around 3/4 temp on gauge then wouldnt raise any hotter. Not a issue worth worrying about but could look into adapting a different viscos hub that comes on earlier maybe..just a ...
